Natural
I do not pose people, I might encourage different ways to connect to each other like, small touches or the way you hold your child or partners hand. I believe in the moment, and some pass rather quickly. I am an observer not a director. You can expect us to play, move, laugh, dance and honestly tears are even very much welcomed.
Trust
I get invested, I really do care so much about you and your family. I deeply desire to cultivate and nurture a relationship beyond being your photographer but more importantly your families friend and someone they trust. Over the course of years of being a family photographer I have come to understand that when you invite me into your family to photograph your love this is intimate, this requires trust from me. Trust is something precious, when there is trust connection flows, the moments that are captured are real, genuine and truly authentic.
Explore
I am an explorer, I do not believe in the "should's" I believe in the "we get too’s". The truth is, there are no two families the same, there are no two children the same. Let’s break the stereotypes and create a unique session that reflects exactly who you are. Would family photos feel right in your home, using only one room. Let’s do it. Or maybe, we take a hike you picking wild flowers or playing in the creek on the way? How about a family trip to Paris, London or anywhere really, this world is our playground. What about going on your family boat, maybe we invite some of your friends, maybe we photograph underwater and splash and laugh. Let’s forget about what we see others do and let’s create something that reflects your family and only your family. I will guide you every step of the way and together we find where you love to explore.
Transparency
From the very beginning you will know the cost of the session and everything included. After the session your photos will feel like a piece of art coming together you will be given the opportunity to view your images and see how we can preserve this experience to last both as memories but also as pieces of printed art. I can create albums for you or customize wall art to fit in the unique wall of your home needing a new piece of art. Your photographs are her to serve you. Style
I do not stick to one specific style, simply because we are all unique. We all are our own. When I am photographing you I make sure that the way I am interacting is reflective to each persons true and authentic self.
With that I often get asked what you should wear. Upon booking I offer a series of simple questions about you and each person in the family.
From those answers I will send outfit suggestions. At any given point you are welcome to contact me with questions.
Present
I commit to being present from the moment I meet you through email, any communication before the session and during your session. I have photographed hundreds of families all over the world. I have seen a lot. There is not much that takes me off guard and if you have any questions along the way please never hesitate to reach out. My heart is for you to feel fully confident and relaxed through the entire session.
Love
Love is greater than any other form and together I will come and meet you right where you are. Together we will celebrate the love of your family the love of your partner and the love of your life. I want to create a safe space for this love to show its self. I will hold space for your love to be free.
